Services Overview

You’re technically brilliant. But when conversations stall, adherence drops, or teams feel misaligned, you need more than clinical skill. I help experienced Allied Health Clinicians and Clinic Owners master the human side of healthcare, turning resistance into engagement, frustration into confident action.

Through original frameworks like C.L.A.R.C. (Connect, Label, Ask, Reflect and Collaborate) for managing patient objections and R.E.S.P.E.C.T. (Recognise, Empathise, Surface beliefs, Probe gently, Elicit commitment, Test understanding, Together agree), grounded in behavioural science, motivational interviewing, and real clinical experience, you get practical tools for tomorrow’s sessions.

Outcomes?
Patients who commit, not just agree. Teams that collaborate. And you, with less burnout and more impact.

For Clinics & Teams

Annette travels interstate to deliver in-person workshops. Confirmed dates below.

For Clinic Owners: Small Group Coaching for Clinic Teams

Six fortnightly sessions for up to four of your clinicians, built around the patients and conversations your team finds hardest. No curriculum and no scripts. Their real caseload, worked on together.

A workshop teaches. This changes what people actually do, because the group keeps coming back and brings its own live cases.

$2,200 including GST for the group, not per clinician.

"If your team is technically strong but patients are not following through, cancelling appointments, or leaving without real commitment. The gap is usually communication, not clinical knowledge.

Workshops are commissioned directly by clinics and delivered in person at your premises, at an offsite venue, or via Zoom. Sessions range from 60 min to 3 hrs. They can be booked individually or combined into a half-day programme."

4 Week Zoom Program

Patient Adherence & Communication Training

Starting Tuesday 8th June 2027 12:15 to 13:30

You know the treatment works. The hard part is getting patients to do it.

The patient who agrees with everything and does none of it.

The "I didn't get time this week." The quiet drop-off who never rebooks. If that sounds like your week, this course was built for you.

Across four live small-group Zoom sessions, you'll learn how to turn resistance into engagement and excuses into follow-through. Drawing on Motivational Interviewing, NLP and behaviour change, shaped by more than 30 years in clinical practice.

This isn't generic communication training. It's structured, practical and built for the treatment room. For early-career and experienced clinicians alike, with tools you can use in your very next consult.

Next course begins Tuesday 8th June 2027. Maximum 12 places.

For Experienced Clinicians

For mid career to senior clinicians wanting to develop mentoring skills to supplement their clinical teaching skills.

Most experienced clinicians were trained to become excellent practitioners.

Very few were ever trained to develop thinking in someone else.

So mentoring quietly becomes something else. Explaining clearly. Correcting the same things again. Reassuring. Carrying the cognitive load so the session runs smoothly.

And it works in the moment. The clinician in front of you improves. You feel useful.

But watch what happens over time. They get better when you're there. They stall when you're not. You're growing a clinician who performs well, rather than one who thinks well on their own.

Developing independent thinkers is a different skill. It isn't about talking more, correcting faster, or reassuring better.

It's about knowing how to build reasoning, confidence and professional identity in the people you supervise, deliberately, not by accident.

That skill can be learned. This is where you learn it.

See How it Works
Mentoring for Mastery is a small-group cohort for senior clinicians and private practice leaders who want to mentor differently.

Next cohort begins Wednesday 13th January 2027

Outcomes you’ll see:

Fewer no-shows, better follow-through, clinicians who handle resistance with curiosity, not frustration and teams that work as one.

Best for:

Experienced clinicians frustrated by disengaged patients, clinic owners upskilling solo, or seniors mentoring juniors.

My Method (Brief)

Framework-based, not formulaic. I blend motivational interviewing, Clean Language, NLP and behavioural science (think Miller, Voss, and Duhigg) into structured tools for messy, real-world conversations.

C.L.A.R.C. in action: Connect and get curious, Label, Ask "and what else", Reflect and Collaborate

Reflective and applied, practiced in your clinical environment.

Curious over convincing: Replace frustration with curiosity. What if resistance is a signal?

Human-centred: Built for Allied Health, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Exercise Physiologists, Podiatrists and Occupational Therapists, with or without admin teams.

No generic “soft skills.” This is communication as a results skill.
